It could have been Mumbai or Dehli. But it wasn’t. It was Asian Lifestyle Show 2005, and the Grand Hall of Olympia was jumping with a kaleidoscope of sounds and smells and activity bringing together “the ultimate Asian experience”.
Throughout the show the Brahma Kumaris (BKs) hosted this little haven of peace. Decorated with soft floating silk and taffeta drapes, and bathed in soothing pastel shades of light, the room was transformed into a tranquil oasis.

"Recent events in London and in the rest of the world show us how futile the cycle of violence is. They signal us to remain constantly in God's remembrance so that we can be fearless and also careful in every step that we take. At such a time, it is essential to be in communion with God, and fill our hearts with God's love. Only then can we transform the hatred and anger that is in the hearts of human beings who have forgotten their humanity. Sharing the power of God's light and love with the world will enable the hearts of those who perpetrate violence to be transformed and the hearts of those who have suffered violence to be healed. With such hope, courage and strength we can help to bring peace to the world."

Step into Serenity - the Meditation Experience
Rushing here and there. Whizzing to work. Dashing to fulfill our duties. Fast forward to spend a bit of time with the family. Haste, hurry and hustle all day long.
We all know how that feels. What if you were to receive an invitation to pause for a while, to take time out or the unending busy-ness of daily like? To Step into Serenity for a few hours. Would that invitation appeal?
That very invitation was made by Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University at the end of February. Over a hundred individuals were drawn by offer of “A Meditation Experience”, the opportunity of a unique afternoon of exploration and experiences in meditation.

For the first time ever the annual UK Asian Lifestyle Show was held in Olympia, London. In previous years the UK event has attracted over forty thousand visitors over a weekend.
Amongst the noise and the hustle and bustle lay an Oasis of Peace – Meditation Room - a Gift of Peace Wall and some of the latest and exciting products published by the Brahma Kumaris.
