![]() A truly experiencial day with Dadi Gulzar (International Spiritual Leader), Sister Jayanti (Spiritual Teacher) and Denzal Sinclaire (Jazz Vocalist) The Global Retreat Centre brings out feelings of peace and tranquility as Kanom said on arrival, “It is my first time here – it is like you are stepping out into something – you wouldn’t find this anywhere else…so tranquil, like visiting another world.” Giselle commented “I feel very peaceful here….so peaceful and stress free which we really need when you live in London. I started to enjoy it on the way here – seeing the trees – all so beautiful.”Setting the mood at 6.30pm, a full marquee heard the voice of Denzal Sinclaire singing Amazing Grace as Dadi Gulzar was lead gently down the aisle by Sister Jayanti towards the stage amassed with flowers. The magic of the moment was deeply felt as she turned and faced the audience of over 900 people and gracefully raised her hand in greeting. Dadi Gulzar started “The key is to see myself and others as souls. The ‘I’ is the inner being that resides in the middle of the forehead. Peacelessness is increasing because we have forgotten what and who “I” am. There is division and animosity instead of peace within. As brothers we have lost sight of the spirit and therefore cannot experience it. With awareness of brotherhood and being a child of God all division would cease. We can create a world of peace with feelings of good wishes and happiness”. She asked if people want a world of happiness and everyone raised their hands. “Yes, everyone wants happiness” Dadi Gulzar said.“In your awareness of spiritual experiences, the relationships at home and the workplace alter, spreading out to reach many people. A perfect example is that of the lotus flower – the roots remain in stagnant water but above is the beauty of the flower within and working together with others will change the world.” Sister Jayanti talked about whilst in connection with others we tend to want to take from them but when I start meditating - understanding the original qualities of the self and turn inwards and discover the beauty within, we can use these treasures inside us. For example, experience peace yourself then the interaction will probably be peaceful. Meditation is a cleansing to discover the original state of the soul. With that authority of experience my responses to others is different and the vibrations alters the quality of life around me. Often people ask ‘what can I alone do?’ But it starts with the individual; we are at a watershed with many signals in the economy, the environment, the lack of values and spirituality. There is no wholesale answer but a determined decision to be made by each individual to work with others - seeing through these eyes to a better world. |

Don’t Think
Often, the right things happen naturally. There is not much need to think. Link! Internal silence allows us to connect to our original honour and dignity. This silence enables us to restore our spiritual greatness. Attain Self Mastery Self mastery means to master the feelings of the heart. Anyone should be able to open their heart at anytime and find nothing there but the Divine. Remain Happy; Become Virtuous Happiness is destroyed by waste and negative thinking. We have allowed falsehood to settle deep within through the carelessness of making excuses. When you do everything with virtue, then you will ‘do’ in pleasure, not under pressure. Cultivate Harmonious Relationships The basis of accurate relationships with others is an honest relationship with the self and God. In ‘role consciousness’, the role is played by the ego. In ‘soul consciousness’, all roles express Godly qualities. Feeling Great by Dadi Janki - Available in August 2010 Is it possible to feel great in today’s world? Why do we lose our ability to feel great? And what is feeling great anyway? In this little book Dadi Janki calls on her decades of spiritual study and practical experience to answer these and other questions. She teaches that feeling great is not about having a good time for a few hours or spending money. Instead, it’s about putting your life in order and remembering who you really are. This guide reveals the keys to feeling great – enthusiasm, optimism, contentment and respect – and demonstrates how to start acquiring them. The first step, Dadi says, is to bring your inner world into harmony and be true to your real self. Now is the time to start feeling great, and this uplifting book shows you how easy it can be. |
